A nice, not that normal synthesizer module. If you like noise, digital character and some crazyness this could be for you. It somewhat resembles a cracklebox with CV control, or some circuit bended toys but can go further than that. Processed drums get really dirty, and the M666 could do interesting stuff in a lot of registers, and excels in the high mid and hf region. The drive CV/knob works sometimes almost like an evil hp-filter and sometimes like a standard distortion effect.
The 666 can do a lot on its own, but as always, the full potential shows when heavily modulated.
A bonus is the three really lively LEDs blinking away - the only color coded details on the otherwise black and white themed layout. The knobs is great and with nice resistance - needed for detailed trimming of the many characters of sound this one is spitting out. I also like the fact that it has a learning curve that you can work on for a while - you will get to know the inner soul of the number of the beast more and more as you work with it.
